Knowing

"Why should you practice Yoga? To kindle the divine fire within yourself. Everyone has a dormant spark of divinity in him which has to be fanned into flame.”

— B.K.S. Iyengar —

Meet Sybil, RYT 200

Mother, yogi, healer, career woman, best friend, traveler, entrepreneur... so many titles to wear in a day, however, we all somehow figure it out. Ever wanted to release the titles, and simply be and breathe? If so, Spirit has led you to the right place.

Four years ago, I embarked on a path to find balance.  What I discovered was the magic that abounds on the yoga mat. At the end of a particularly challenging day, I attended a heated yoga session. When the flow was over, I was instructed to check in with myself one last time before rising. What I experienced was an overwhelming sense of gratitude, groundedness, strength, and acceptance. I was able to see my authentic Self, flaws and all, but this time without judgment. At that moment, I embraced the fire within and began my intentional healing journey to freedom and Self-fulfillment. With the support and mentoring of others, I vowed to share this gift of healing with others.

As I continued to increase my understanding of yoga philosophy and subtle body anatomy, I learned I was tapping into the energy of Manipura chakra and was experiencing the gift of Tapas. Tapas which means fire or heat was being used to bring balance and renewal throughout all aspects of my life. My mat became a safe space to quiet my thoughts and ultimately hear my authentic voice. By building a regular practice, I learned to let go and live a life of fullness. I could finally breathe, finding inner peace, balance, and gratitude.

The daily tugs of life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious and uncentered. Here at TapasFlow Yoga, my ultimate goal is to provide you an opportunity to quiet your mind and hear your true Self whisper quietly in your ear. It is my belief, as we link movement to breath, we stoke our internal flame and using TAPAS as fuel, we are able to FORGE, let go of, and personally TRANSFORM in a manner that allows us to EMERGE a better, more aligned, version of Self. Tapas teaches us to face the storm with confidence so that we may find peace and live in wholeness.

Sending an extra dose of love and gratitude to all of those who have offered guidance, support, healing, laughter and most importantly patience and grace  during my time of self-rediscovery. I am forever GRATEFUL!

LET’S FLOW.
